Now’s a great time to start planning any DIY Christmas gifts you want to make for the Holiday season. Handmade gifts don’t have to be expensive or hard to make, and that’s why I love these dollar store gift basket ideas with personalized details! Let me show you how to make four differently themed baskets using dollar store items & a Cricut to personalize them.

I think a personalized gift basket with a curated group of items is a great way to show someone that you care! Here are some ideas on gift basket themes, and inexpensive items from the dollar store that you can include. I found everything in these gift baskets from either Dollar Tree or Dollarama. Then, I personalized some of the items with decals made with my Cricut. If you don’t have a Cricut, you could personalize them other ways (with a paint marker, for example).

Dollar Store Gift Basket Ideas

Relaxation Gift Basket

In this basket, include items like a candle, bath bubbles, a bath bomb, a body scrubbing glove, a body brush, a makeup bag, chocolates and a mug. You could personalize the mug with your Cricut using this Cricut project file.

To make the basket, place some tissue paper in the bottom of a dollar store wired basket. Next, arrange all of the items on top. You can finish the gift off with a handmade gift tag tied to the basket handle, and wrap the whole thing in cellophane if desired.

Baking Dollar Store Gift Basket

In this basket, include items like measuring cups, cake mix, icing, cupcake wrappers, a whisk, a spatula and oven mitts. You could personalize the oven mitts with your Cricut using this Cricut project file.

Place some tissue paper in the bottom of a dollar store mixing bowl, and arrange all of the items on top. You can finish the gift off with a handmade gift tag tied to one of the items, and wrap the whole thing in cellophane if desired.

Coffee Gift Basket

In this basket, include items like a mug, coffee beans, iced coffee, cookies, and chocolate. You could personalize the mug with your Cricut using this Cricut project file.

Materials

  • Large dollar store tin
  • Tissue paper
  • Gift tag
  • Mug (personalized with your cricut if you wish)
  • A candle
  • Mittens
  • Socks
  • A scarf
  • Twinkle lights
  • Chocolate
  • Cellophane (optional)

Tools

  • Cricut

Instructions

    1. First, place some tissue paper in the bottom of a large dollar store tin
    2. Then, arrange all of the items on top.
    3. Finish the gift off with a handmade gift tag tied to the tin.
    4. If you like, you can wrap the whole thing in cellophane.
