Aren’t cupcakes the cutest little treats ever? I’ve always loved them. I make them for every party we have, and I also like giving them as gifts. Here’s a fun way to give a cupcake to a friend this Christmas – in a sweetly labeled mason jar! Once you’re done checking out this easy DIY Christmas gift idea, make sure to scroll to the end of this post to see 15 more beautiful DIY Christmas gift ideas from my blogging friends.

This would make a fun hostess gift to bring to your next holiday dinner party, or a sweet surprise for your bosom buddy.

All you need to do is bake a batch of cupcakes (I really like this recipe for vanilla cupcakes), grab some 8 oz. wide mouth mason jars, some cute ribbon, some baker’s twine, and this free printable sheet of labels I made for you:

Click on the image above to download a free PDF of these labels.

Pop your cupake in the jar and cut out your labels. Punch a hole in the top of the rectangular label.

Put the round one on top of the lid. Then, tie some ribbon around the lid and attach the rectangular tag to the ribbon with some baker’s twine.

Your little gift is ready to give.

  1. This is so darling but I can’t click on the picture of the chalk labels. Am I missing something, doing something wrong?

    Thanks
