Little B and I are so excited to share with you her finished bedroom makeover! As a self professed lover of “Elsa and rainbows”, Little B requested that I incorporate both of those things in her bedroom re-design. I think we were able to include the things that Little B loves while keeping her new bedroom looking fresh and modern. Come take a tour of Little B’s modern rainbow toddler bedroom!

We started this makeover about 6 weeks ago, and you can see all of the before photos and our mood board right here. One of the things that made the biggest difference in this space was the change of paint colour.

Here’s how Little B’s bedroom looked before:

And here’s Little B’s bedroom now:

Doesn’t this fresh, white paint make it so much more modern and bright? This colour is Simply White by Benjamin Moore.

The other thing that made the biggest difference in Little B’s space was the change of furniture.

This gorgeous white bunk bed – the CorLiving Twin Bunk Bed with Slat Headboards from The Brick – looks clean and modern while adding a ton of functionality to the room.

Little B sleeps on the bottom, and her sisters can sleep on the top when they have a sleep over. Plus, when we want guests in our home we can use one of the other girls’ bedrooms as a guest room and the sister can sleep in B’s room.

Another fun part of the room was this sweet bookcase that we converted into a dress-up storage center. You can read more about that right here.

The girls like to call this corner of the room the “cozy corner”. I hung this canopy from the ceiling, and covered the floor beneath with cozy pillows, blankets, a sheepskin rug, and stuffed animals. Opposite the bunk bed is this storage area for Little B’s books, blankets and toys. I converted our old change table into a handy-dandy cabinet, and I used book ledges to create some shelves between the windows.

Simple white drapes on the windows keep the space looking bright and cheerful, and they don’t take away from all of the other bright colours in the space.

The felt rainbow banner is handmade, and you can find that tutorial right here.

In the corner by the bed, I’ve created a fun little art area for Little B and her sisters. A chalk board and chalk markers are a fun way to create artwork, and this cozy pink chair from The Brick on the handmade t-shirt yarn rug is a cozy little spot to read or – if you’re Brick-Lea Bear – relax.

For the final details of the room, I created some handmade star decals with gold vinyl to add some interest to the walls, and I found some printable artwork from Creative Market to help give the space that modern Scandi vibe I was hoping for.

Overall, I’m really happy with how this room turned out, and Little B loves it too. I think we were able to combine cuteness and practicality in a balanced way!
