Even though the interior Christmas decor of our home is very neutral this year, we opted for a front porch with happy pops of red, green and teal! Why?

I ordered this fresh greenery wreath from Costco with plans to swap out the red bow for something more neutral. But when my girls saw it, they fell in love and wanted red colors all over our porch. How could I say no?!

Along with the wreath, I also ordered a fresh cedar & pine garland from Costco this year and draped it over our front door. I love these garlands, and how long they last in the chilly outdoors.

I layered a lit faux eucalyptus garland from Canadian Tire last year over the fresh garland. A couple of faux spruce trees in fabric boxes flank our front door, and I swirled some Dollarama garlands in the trees for a bit of colour and texture.

For a DIY touch, I created this rustic art with an antique window frame, ribbon, ornaments and a Dollar Tree flannel scarf.

Watch my YouTube video to see how I made this rustic art, and how I decorated our Christmas front porch from start to finish:

To hide some electrical cords and add a bit of a farmhouse touch to our entry, I laid down this cute black & white buffalo check mat from Amazon.

This adorable Christmas pillow cover is also from Amazon, and this Christmas sign is from Etsy. (The shop I bought it from is currently unavailable, but here’s another adorable wood Christmas sign!) My great grandpa’s old rocking chair looks festive with a scarf and wreath sitting on it, and I’ve also added some decorative deer from Costco along with some faux boxwood. I love lots of greenery – real or faux! – at Christmas time.

On the steps I placed some embellished old lanterns, and then I added some old Ikea faux Christmas trees inside vintage galvanized buckets. Simple and rustic!

I’m definitely in love with our cozy looking front porch decor this year, and I’m happy my daughters convinced me to go this route.
