Pumpkin decor is such a classic for the Fall season, and these boho chic pumpkins are a great addition to your tabletop display, mantel, or tiered tray decor. Bonus? You can make them with dollar store supplies, so they’re completely budget friendly!

How to make DIY boho chic pumpkins

To begin, buy some small faux pumpkins from the dollar store. These ones were from Dollar Tree a couple of years ago and I love the gold stems.

Remove the stems, and then paint the pumpkins with white chalk style paint. You will need 2 to 3 coats of paint if you’re pumpkin is a darker colour.

Once the pumpkins are dry, use a sanding sponge to distress some of the pumpkins for a boho chic look.

Then, take dollar store lace trim, tie it in a bow and attach it to the top of the pumpkin with hot glue. Replace the stem, and add small faux flowers with more hot glue.

Repeat this process to make more pumpkin decor. You can experiment with the items you glue on the pumpkins. Some of my pumpkins had bows, florals and berries on them while others were simpler with faux berries only.
