Whether you want to give a Cricut to a friend this Christmas or to yourself, here’s how to put together the perfect Cricut Joy Holiday gift bundle! I’m sharing my recommendations on what materials you should pair with a Cricut Joy so that it can be used right away, and how you could package the gift set. This would make an incredible gift for an avid crafter in your life!

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Cricut. All opinions are 100% mine.

I received my first Cricut in 2017, and have been obsessed ever since! My Cricut machines have definitely taken my DIYs to the next level, and some of my favourite crafts EVER have been made with the help of my Cricut (like this personalized Christmas Eve basket). I’ve even made a whole category on my blog dedicated to Cricut craft ideas, and you can find it right here. I’ve given away Cricut gift packs as gifts to my subscribers, and even some to my friends. They’re an amazing present for anyone who loves to craft!

Why does a Cricut Joy make a great gift?

There are three different types of Cricut machines available today – the Cricut Maker, Cricut Explore Air 2 and the Cricut Joy. If you want to  learn all of their differences, you can click right here and read my in-depth comparison. I think the Cricut Joy would be the best out of the 3 to give as a Christmas gift this year because:

  • it costs less than the other machines
  • it’s extremely easy to use and quick to setup with Bluetooth wireless technology
  • it requires less materials to use it immediately because it creates super-easy, super-long cuts without a cutting mat
  • it’s small, so it’s easy for anyone to store

You truly only need the Joy, a few of your favourite materials and your smart phone to get started making adorable crafts with this machine like vinyl decals, labels, custom cards, iron-on designs and more.

I made this cute Christmas mug in only about 15 minues with the Cricut Joy, Smart Vinyl, Transfer Tape and the free Design Space app on my smart phone. The tools are nice to have, but you don’t absolutely need them to start crafting.

What should you put in a Cricut Joy gift set?

Here’s what I’d recommend including in a Cricut Joy gift pack so that your recipient can enjoy crafting immediately:

One of the nice things about the Cricut Joy is that you don’t need an additional mat to use the Smart Vinyl or Smart Iron-On.

This is a very basic gift set, but there are tons more amazing products that you could add to this package and you can find them all right here! I love the Card Mat and Insert Card sets as well, and those would be a nice addition to this bundle.

How to package a Cricut Holiday gift

This recommended Cricut Joy gift bundle fits perfectly in a large wicker basket. Simply fill the bottom of the basket with tissue paper and arrange the machine and accessory boxes on top. You can add a pretty bow to one of the basket handles. Finally, wrap everything up with cellophane before giving.

Now tell me: would you give this to a friend, or would be tempted to keep it yourself?

  1. As tempting as it sounds to give to a loving friend. I would totally be selfish and keep it!! I’ve had my eye on the Joy for months now!!!

  2. I have to admit that I would probably buy it for myself … But … I could justify my self indulgence by making personalized gifts for my family and friends. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it! Merry Christmas to me!!

  3. I would, sadly, keep it for myself because I don’t have one yet (hahahaha). Once I learned how to use a tool like this I would gift one to my daughters; all of them are incredibly artistic and have the knack to create beautiful things.

  4. I love that I can win the Cricut joy and that you are a local Edmonton area mom. I love following your YouTube channel and learning new diy projects. Thank you so much
